Udyam Registration is also known as MSME Registration. It is basically a government-issued registration for businesses. This is to certify small and medium-sized businesses or organizations. It comes with a certificate of recognition and a unique number.

The main goal of this facility was to provide a mechanism for the government to give benefits to medium and small-scale firms and industries in India that are registered under MSME using their Aadhar Card Number.

The entity's owner, director, or proprietor must supply his or her 12-digit Aadhar Number. Whether the business or organization is a sole proprietorship, an LLP, a private limited company, or something else, this is a legal need. It should have a certificate of recognition obtained through the MSME registration process.

Document Required for Udyam Registration

GSTIN and PAN (Having PAN & GST Numbers Is Mandatory From 01.04.2021)

Aadhaar number (In the case of a proprietorship firm, the Aadhaar number will be that of the proprietor, of the controlling partner in the case of a partnership firm, and a karta in the case of a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF).)

If an entity is properly registered as an Udyam with a PAN, any information gaps from prior years when it did not have a PAN must be filled out on a self-declaration basis.

No business may file more than one Udyam Registration, with the exception that any number of activities, including manufacturing, service, or both, may be listed or added to a single Udyam Registration.
